Apple doesn't make an auto adapter for the G3/4 laptops. None of the third party auto adapters I've seen have it. One of the adapters I have has a light on the auto plug and one on the power supply itself, that's the closest I've seen. All of that is better than I think it was the older PB1XX series where there was no light and the only indication you had was the menu bar icon and/or Control Strip indicator. The problem there was that it indicated that the adapter was plugged in but there was no indication if there was any power available. I had the battery run down a couple of times because of that. With the G3/4 laptops you do have the menu bar status indicator showing that the battery is charging.
