Greater power consumption from your pickup battery building-in the
inverter than if you were using a regular auto adapter without benefits
of indicator lights? A just big enough for the job inverter? What's
the brand and model number of the inverter? All things being equal, as
you suggest, a possibility. Maybe the only, possibility.
