If you are interested in the CF card as replacement for hard drive,
get something like this:

<http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0036DDXUM/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?
ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=acleint-20>

Performance goes down, and some report reliability problems. But my
impression is that the power requirements are far lower.

And more power consuming.

Wrong. 400 is the lowest. The theory is that while slower, it consumes
less power.

Er. My goal is long battery life, not ‘efficiency,‘ for example for
long (24 hour) airplane trips.
