Hello Mike, this may or may not fit your needs. I also have a pismo
maxed out, i was lucky enough to have 10.4.11 installed when i got it,
and it runs it great. However i was handed an old imac 233 bondi. I
used and installed linux mint ppc on it, and it runs super and is
amazingly fast for an old computer. Linux mint is free with
instructions at www.mintppc.org I am a hardcore mac os user, but tiger
is sooooo expensive to buy, even on ebay will run you 50 to 75
dollars. I do love Mac OS, but the Mint PPC is totally useable, and
totally fast and a complete FREE alternative for older computers. If
Mac OS is what you desire, EBAY is def the best way to go for Tiger. I
must say tho, that the Linux is amazing and was only a minor headache
to install. The forum on the MintPPC site will help with any install
issues. Hope this helps!
