USB, big yes. Wireless, definitely no. The Airport antenna was built- in in the computer frame since at least the Pismos and the icebooks, so that's why nothing sticks out. I had the USB for a while (they can be bought on eBay for a few bucks). I can look it up later if you need the specifics. They were reviewed in LowEndMac a few years back. > second, is there any way to get more than 512mb of ram in one? Nope. That's the ceiling. > has anyone ever tried one with an ssd? M got your answer there. It should be a HUGE speed improvement, but also a costly one, and there is not a lot of options for IDE SSDs. > is there any faster cpu upgrade than a g4 500? Nope. I am sure they can be overclocked, but Wallstreets run hot enough as it is, even without CPU upgrades, so I wouldn't recommend it. > is g the fastest adapter that it will take? There is at least an N PCMCIA Belkin adapter (Part # F5D8013) that works great with Ralink drivers from Panther on. I can attest to it, because I use it. Of course you will only notice the difference in an N network. Most public wifi is either B or B/G. Despite all those "buts," I love Wallstreets. I had a G4-upgraded one for a while, and I'm still kicking myself for letting it go. I miss the little sucker. They are burly, heavy things, built like tanks. You need big hands just to grab them. And yet, they are ergonomically pitch perfect --the tilt of the screen, the curves, the way your wrists bend to type...
