are there any usb and wireless pcmcia cards that are flush with the
laptop and don't have anything protruding? Before anyone says, well
that's how they are made you have to blah blah blah. The airport card
is flush and sometimes cards add connectors so there isn't something
sticking out.
Search eBay for keywords "USB PCMCIA inside hide NEC chip"
There are several similar products, all of which
will work under OS-X, but under OS-9 only the NEC
based card works. Be prepared to pay a little
more for the genuine NEC based product.
The cards I bought several years ago are 'AKE' brand, and also labelled 'NEC'.
second, is there any way to get more than 512mb of ram in one?
No, 512MB is the limit for Wallstreet. Some
people have found the stock 300Mhz model tends to
overheat when driving 512MB RAM. Upgraded CPUs
run cooler and can support the full 512 MB.
has anyone ever tried one with an ssd?
is there any faster cpu upgrade than a g4 500?
No
is g the fastest adapter that it will take?
Thanks
