Hi,
I have a G3 Prismo thats having hard drive issues (not surprising given
that the drive is over 10 years old, and has moving parts)
I did some research on the drive, its the original that came with it. A 6GB
Fujitsu MHK2060AT with the apple markings.
>From what I can find, its an ATA-66 drive.

I'd like to replace it with either an SSD or some kind of 2.5" enclosure
that supports either a Compact Flash or an SD card.

What kind of device should I be looking for? I'm a little confused by the
different specs, and what will work with my power book...
I'm guessing some huge drive, or anything that says its UDMA is a no-no,
but what about other ones that say stuff like PATA?

The ones that caught my eye on amazon were:
Syba Best Connectivity 2.5" IDE 44-pin to Dual Compact Flash Adapter
($10.13) and a Transcend 8 GB 133x CompactFlash Memory Card TS8GCF133
 ($14.99)

or this other one...

CF to Laptop 2.5 IDE Hard Disk Drive Adapter With Case ($15.99)

Both are somewhat sketchy on specs, merely saying they are 44pin IDE.

Does anyone have any experience with this kind of thing, and can give me
some suggestions?

I mainly want to know exactly what kind of adapter/memory to get that will
work with a G3 Prismo Power Book, without spending a fortune (they have
$116 SSD's, but I really don't want to expend that kind of cash on an old
laptop)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Cam
