You assume that the OP would only want one of these. As this is pretty much the 
most expensive 15" model, that may well not be true. It is what it is - SL will 
run on unsupported hardware, so long as you are able to swap out the disk and 
are willing to accept that it will require tweaking. As you have noted - this s 
not likely to work on a Retina MBP, nor any Air with a SSD soldered to the 
logic board. Save your head next time, yeah? ;-)
