In those cases where the optimum solution isn't feasible — because the broken
case closing latch is part of the case itself, meaning — right, rebuilding the
whole thing onto another case. Forget it — but how to live with it in the
meantime. Since putting these guys to sleep versus shutting them down is the
preferred method, keeping the lid shut is imperative.

Large, strap like rubber bands can do the trick quite nicely. There may be
other solutions which I'd also love to hear. The suitable large rubber bands
are 1/2" x 10" but currently, usually come in large quantity boxes when you can
find, or, special order them. When your one and only bites the dust, you're in
trouble.

One source for the bands by twosies (2@) and at like only $1@ is their use in
the art world for holding art boards and pads together.

I had to check a few local art stores to find one that carries them and then, I
was lucky to get their last pack of 2 in stock. They'll be re-ordering.
