1) Access in Target Disk Mode from other Mac using Firewire cable.

2) Run Disk Utility>Repair Disk & Repair Permissions on Pismo HD

3) Reinstall the 10.4.11PPC Combo Update onto the Pismo HD.

4) Make certain the Pismo CPU is pressed in and seated correctly before 
rebooting.
