I've used a powerbook g3 series in one of my gigs. I used Tactile12000, it takes a while to get used to but it works. Tactile12000 lets you actually mix mp3's just like having 2 1200's. There are a couple of apps for DJ's out there, but this is the only easy one I've seen so far.
Any g3 laptop will be able to do the job as long as you have audio out. Presently, I am using a 600 iBook with my apple logo lighting up in blue and I'll tell you, its a head turner. Hope this helps... Ramon > I got a call from a DJ (disk jockey) who asked if it would be possible to do > a gig from an Apple PowerBook/iBook.
