So was System 7.6 compared to 8.1, (a changeover comparable in my mind to the difference between Windows 3.11 and win95 on the Dark side..a big-time upgrade) and 8.5 compared to 8.1... That said, 10.1 is quite usable and I've got a number of users who are quite happily using it. 10.0 was rough, which is why Apple gave 10.1 to the people who'd paid for it for *free*. That said, be grateful you're not on the Dark Side. MS wants $200 for XP Pro, the comparable OS to OSX. (surprisingly, the near simultaneous releases of XP and OSX marks the first time that Microsoft's base OS does NOT connect to a MS Windows domain, AND the first release of an Apple OS that does, out of the box.
