I can't argue with your reasoning.  I'm not asking for a freebie ,but, I 
feel like if I was their guinea pig, working through the beta version on 
up, they ought to give me a break.  Jaguar wouldn't be here without some 
of us willing to take the time and $$$ to work through the teething of 
OS X. As I listened to the keynote this morning I reacted negatively to 
the pricing of Jaguar (although I'm amazed at what's in it, and can't 
argue with the value you're getting).  I did react positively to paying 
for .mac.  I think .mac is the first thing on the internet I really 
won't mind paying for directly.  Go figure.
