Weren't hinges/pink screen syndrome problems with the first issue of the Pismo? Maybe I'm confusing the earlier G3 models with the Pismo. Go to lowendmac and read archived articles. Also, try some of the links...there are a couple of sites with essays about Pismos. Definitely ask your potential seller about the hinges and screen and dvd drive. Also, ask about the type of hard drive and whether the fan functions well. Will you get a working battery and AC adapter?
