I think I missed something, I went to MCE because I would love a 
DVD-CDRW Combo drive and they have them just as you said, but they are 
just as expensive than replacing the DVD-ROM. DVD-ROMs run about 
$250-300.00 and the drives from MCE: CDRW [$300, on sale], DVD-CDRW 
[$350 regular price] are about the same.

But I would love to know what people think of MCE drives as they claim 
they are bootable ... do they work with Disc Burner and iTunes and such?
