If this was a brand-new purchase at the time, it's a Lombard. It's easy to verify: it should have two USB ports and one SCSI port in the back, but no Firewire ports. : Her computer runs extremely slow, Office 98 and all that goes with : that software. What version of Mac OS are you running? OS 9? OS X? Also, when you mention the slowness, what other Mac are you comparing it to? : Sometmes it takes literaly 10 to 15 minutes to print a simple 1 page : letter from Word 98. : We have defraged the hardrive, rebuilt the desk top, and installed a : total of 192 MB RAM. She uses an HP 935c printer that was new. We : have tried reinstalling the software, but still is really slow. : According to the lowendmac site we can install up to 384 MN RAM, : when we had the ram installed for us we were told it was maxed at : 192. So this is why I wonder about what machine we really have. : Would appreciate some simple help here. Apple's said officially lists Lombard's maximum memory as 384 MB, with a full-height 256 MB module on top and a low-profile 128 MB module below. But you can take it up to 512 MB via a low-profile 256 MB module below. -- Eugene Lee [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
