<< I called Apple and paid the $350.00 plus
It will be a lot more than $350 if she sent it in to Apple! If you want
to think about Apple support options you need to ask yourself 2
questions:
1) Do you have Applecare?
2) Are you still within the warranty period?
If none of the above it'll cost you quite a bit. It sounds more like a
software problem though. Still, try booting to OS 9 and wait a few days
to see if anyone else comes up with something. If not, then try calling
Apple.
