speaking of which, i got my ibook back today! sent it to apple on 
friday, got it back today. (my fault for sending over the weekend..would 
have had it sooner!)
for those who dont remember, the display on my ibook 500 ("late 2001") 
was fading off/on, etc...)
they replaced the inverter board - as i had expected, but also replaced 
the motherboard as well..it looks as if they replaced the palm rest and 
mouse, but thats not listed on the repair sheet.
only thing i wish they'd have done....was replace the stupid power 
adapter. i accidentally stepped on it awhile ago, and bent it out of 
shape a bit...so it doesnt slide in smoothly or anything :(
