I have the Powerlogix upgrade and I'm quite happy with it. The first upgrade I got had overheating problems, but Powerlogix had me send the Pismo back and tested it thoroughly. They were able to duplicate the crashes I was seeing and installed a new CPU. This second chip runs cooler than the original 400mHz G3. Battery life is about the same.
I've had it back for almost 2 weeks and no crashes yet. I've played UT on it, converted a 650MB AVI to a 5.5GB Quicktime movie, and done every other stress test I can think of. So far, rock solid. I'm running 10.2.2 with 1GB of ram. cheers, -Hal On Tuesday, December 17, 2002, at 06:22 AM, Ed Zelinsky wrote: > I have half a gig of ram in my Pismo and running system 9.1 for now.
