Hmm, I'm not sure if I am enough of an authority on this to be giving you advice. I can tell you how to change the jumper setting but I don't know what your drive is like so I don't know exactly how to do it. Basically, though, you have to open the case and get at the drive on the inside. At the back of the drive, where it connects to a cable, there should be some little pins sticking out the back that only have a tiny little plastic block occupying two of the pins. There should probably be either one or two jumper blocks. What you want to do is look on the paper label on the top of the drive. It should show some pictures that show various ways that the jumper block can be put onto the pins. You want to move the jumper block to the position that is labeled "Slave" on the diagrams. Since I don't know the particulars of your drive, I can't guarantee it'll be like this.
