Subject: CD-R/W no longer works
From: Ryan Lee <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

I have a VST Technologies CD-R/W Drive for my Pismo PowerBook. The model of
the drive is CDRWG32.

It's been a while since I tried to burn a CD with it. I know it worked with
earlier versions of 10.2. Somewhere along the line as I upgraded to 10.2.6,
the burning capability stopped being recognized.

I've also tried Toast but it doesn't recognize the drive either.

Does anyone know if there is any hope for me to get this drive to burn
again?

What is the actual drive mechanism? I think MCE uses Matshita, so you might just need to edit the burn support document. Apple System Profiler should tell you the specific part number. I have put a UJDA-720 into a Pismo housing.
Of course if Toast doesn't recognize the drive it sounds like it could be a problem with the drive.
