Do you know if the "Genesys Logic GL711FW chipset" is the same as the "Oxford
911" chipset? I want to use drives over 128GB. Trying to sort it all out.
the chipset will determine the transfer rate of the enclosure, and not what size of drive's it will support (as far as I know). I haven't heard of the GL711FW chipset. My GUESS is that it's an Oxford 911 clone. I see there may be some issues with that chipset and dataloss on one web site (http://www.macintouch.com/panfirewire02.html#nov14)
