It depends what you are going to be using it for. For just word processing, internet - the iBook would be more than adequate...for Photoshop etc, I would probably go with the PB but that is my personal preference.
Keyboard backlighting is only available on the 15" and 17" Powerbooks. The 12" PB's and the iBooks do NOT have backlighting.
Also, are all the keyboards on the iBooks and the G4 Powerbooks backlit?
