I could understand that. Mine gets a litle toasty after sitting with it on the lap for an hour or so. It's not burning to the touch but I can understand how some people might complain. > However, it wasn't a step backward, because the first Wallstreet > PowerBooks didn't have a backside cache. Only the 233 MHz system had no L2 cache. It also ran on a 66MHz system bus. The 250 and 292 run on a 83 system bus and have 1MB L2 cache. The series two G3's were either a 233, 266 or 300MHz system. And all run on a 66MHz system bus. The 233MHz system had 512K L2. The 266 and 300MHz system had 1MB L2 cache. I'm interested in overclocking my 250 to 292MHz. But with the heat this thing makes right now, I'm not sure I'd like the new higher temperature. If someone has a 292MHz machine, maybe the could chime in regarding the heat generation. -nils references : http://www.lowendmac.com/pb2/g3series.shtml http://www.lowendmac.com/pb2/g3series2.shtml -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
