I'm thinking of buying a brand-new PowerBook, which would be my

here be a good place to ask for an advice and some newbie questions?

I'm sure you'll get plenty of advice. Two years ago I bought a 800 Mhz 15" Titanium Powerbook which has proved to be a powerful practical and versatile tool (my main work is video, graphics and writing). The newly released aluminium PBs are better in most respects and offer better value for money. You need to decide how much you can afford and what size/weight you can live with. I'm going for a new 1.5Mhz 15" model as soon as I can find a home for my old TiBook.
