I have a file with 8k on my desktop and I cannot get rid of it. Every time I try to move it to the trash or my hard drive, I get a message that the file is in use and cannot be trashed.
I tried booting in safe mode, Classic mode and from a start up DVD. No dice.
How do I get rid of it? What is really baffling? I can open the file, I can save changes to it, I can rename it. I cannot trash it. Ugh!
Any suggestions will be tried.
Michael
What is the name of the file?
Try renaming it, restarting then trashing it.
BTW, Classic is OS 9 running as a process in OS X. I believe you meant booting in OS 9.
