I am sure that none of the iLife programs is running. I also have restarted the machine, repaired permissions, etc. to no avail.
There is a program running. I encountered this when trying to install something. I think it's iTunes Helper or something. Open Activity Monitor and you'll see it listed.
If you double click on the listing in Activity Monitor a dialog box should appear which should have a button to make the program quit. That program will start again next time you boot.
