LaCie indicated that there was no problem with the drive when it was new, and refused warranty service. I am located in Mexico so I have put up with it.
Data disks seem to be reliable. The guts are a LiteOn mechanism that appears to be quite common. I have no other burner to compare to. Is this normal? Any suggestions?
