I've tried ATM font manager from Adobe but had some trouble with it
in the past, so I changed to Suitcase but don't know how ATM works
with OS 9 and 9.1. I can't even comment on it really. I started with
Suitcase 3 and basically liked it and was trouble free but it was
basic. I wasn't so impressed with Suitcase 8 but was really impressed
with Suitcase 9, but I ended up using the Suitcase Network 9 Edition
since it had a better update. Suitcase always worked well with Adobe
stuff, since Adobe was what they called "suitcase enabled" or
something like that. So you got your changes in Photoshop without
restarting Photoshop, like you had to do with other programs when you
wanted to add a different font set. What I liked about Suitcase 9 is
how you can few the fonts in Suitcase. When you click on the font it
shows you sample on the right and you can change the size so it's
easier to see.

There is a 30 day demo at http://www.extensis.com so try it and tell
us how you like it but download the network edition. I just looked
and noticed they have version 10. So I'll have to check that out.

Just an off the topic comment I can't seem to resist about Photshop,
although you run the risk of being attacked by PS addicts:

I can't resist but I hate the way Photoshop 5.5 does fonts. I like
the what you see is what you get style but Photoshop is an overpriced
and overly difficult program but undeniably powerfull. Enhance 4 by
http://www.microfrontier.com is an example of how such a program
should be. It would have had a better chance had it become cross
platform. Programs that are not cross platform tend not to make it
these days. Enhance 4 is very user friendly, I believe is in many
ways better than Photoshop 4 but PS 5 and beyond is extremely
powerful but a bear to work with. It's definitely not for the average
user but an average user would find it easier to use a program like
Enhance. It's very Mac like. Too bad they don't come out with an
Enhance 5. I find Photoshop very unMac like. I wouldn't mind seeing
them put in their place, particularly with their attitude these days
towards the Mac. But like I said, it's definitely powerful.
