hello!! i know this isn't specifically powermac but i noticed a thread on virtual pc and wondered if anyone can help. i have vpc3 installed on a 400mhz g4. it has apache web server and php installed and i use it as a poor man's development tool. all my pages get coded in dreamweaver and bbedit, i then chuck them into vpc for testing. although it's slow it means i can test them on a pc. the only problem is i want to check them on the mac to. obviously when i preview, there is no php support and ie just opens the php as a text file. when i looked through the manual ect i found that you can set up specific ip address or share the mac's one. after a bit of playing, it all went bad (suprise!) and reverted to the original set up with apache using the default local host ip - 127.0.0.1 - everything was back to normal. does anyone know if you can set this up? i wrote to tech support and they basically wrote back and said they wouldn't advise using vpc as a web server but it was possible. unfortunately they didn't disclose how to do it!! any ideas???? cheers, jake -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
