>A 9600? That *would* be interesting.
-------------------------
I have a couple of upgraded 9600's running XLR8 g4/450 and
g3/500 processor upgrades and I like them just as well as my son's
new g4/733.

Not necessarily. I just bought a ton of RAM (14 modules,
128 MB) from Velocity (find them on RAmSeeker) for about $40.00 each
after I found out they are exactly the same RAM modules being sold by
MacSolutions for $120.00.
I think the "9600 RAM is too expensive" myth is starting to
deflate. At $40. each I am more than willing to upgrade my trusty
9600's.

------------------------
My Beige mac has good times and bad times. Some days it
works fine. Other days it won't do the things it was cheerfully doing
the day before. It can be coaxed to work but it is just not
reliable.
I have a second Beige g3/266 sitting here that was given to
me by a disgusted customer who had the same problem.
I am no longer a fan of the Beige g3.
