Yes they will work in a B&W and Beige G3 (as well as the G4's that take
PC100) PC133 can just operate at a higher speed than PC100

They only thing you have to be sure of is the "density??" of the chips.
Each memory controller can only see a certain amount on each chip on your
ram stick.
If the ram stick has 16x8 it has 16MB chips and 8 of them = 128MB total, The
Beige, B&W, and G4's can all see this. But since you can only fit a Maximum
of 16 chips on single stick that limits it to 256MB total

Other ram sticks have 32MB per chip (i.e. 32x8 = 256MB / or 32x16 =512MB)
As far as I know only the G4's that can take 1.5 GB (not Yikes) can see the
full amount of ram since it has 32MB per chip.
Older systems will still recognize the ram but will only use 16MB per chip
since that's all they can see. (if you have a 32x8=256 stick it will only
see 16x8=128MB)

I had this problem about a month ago I ordered two 256MB PC133 chips for my
Beige G3(so I can stick it in a G4 soon, I HOPE, since prices have to drop
on the discontinued ones) and one was a 16x16 so it saw the whole 256MB the
other was a 32x8 so it only saw 128MB. Luckily I was able to swap it for a
16x16=256 that shipped in a friends G4

Get the PC133 ram since it will be worth more in the near future.
I feel stupid for buying some PC66 ram for my beige, since it wont work in
any of the newer Macs or PC's. But I got a GREAT deal 128MB for only $170
(LOL but crying on the inside) I could have had SIX 256Mb chips at today's
prices.
