The G3/MT is a shortened 9600 case, with no place for drives in the bottom
and no supplementary cooling (although it can be added by an ingenious
experimenter).
The 9600 case can hold five 5.25" drives; four 5.25" drives *and* two 3.5"
drives; or six 3.5" drives.
The similar 8600 case is the same size as the G3/MT. Three slots, all usable.
