        I have three 3.5"drives in the bottom of all my 9600's.  You 
just drill holes in the bottom off to the side of the plastic drive 
carrier and add another drive over to the side.

        I have two hard drives in  the bottom of my Beige G3, one on 
the bottom (Just  drill 4 holes in the bottom for one hard drive and 
mount a hard drive carrier for the other one in the empty space 
beside the motherboard).

          I used an old aluminum hard drive for a template to locate 
the four holes to mount the new hard drives.

        The biggest limitation of the Beige G3 is the wimpy little 
power supply.  The 9600 has a massive power supply that can run 
anything you can stuff inside the case.
