What version are you using?

I am on v3.0... Go to adobe gamma under control panels... It will ask you to
turn your monitor brightness and contrast all the way up, then walk you
through a wizard. With colored blocks surrounded by lines, where you just
move the slider till the block blends in. Not scientific, like you're
takinga  screen reading with a barco or anything but very very adequate.
