Adobe reads this list? Wow, they must have loved some of my posts... Gotta luv their PR department though, heh did you hear about their lawyers threatening to sue Killustrator, then adobe disavowing knowledge of it when the PR backlash hit, yet the lawyers were still trying to collect fees... *sighs*. Claris is still a fully-owned company of apple, but it has been spun out as a separate entity (used to be a total subsidiary). If you dont' want the software anymore, and won't be using it, you can transfer the license of the software to a new person. Basically you can do this by just giving him the discs, etc for a penny or some such. If there is going to be continuing support for th eproduct, its usually a good idea to call the company and transfer it formally so that person is able to get upgrades, support, etc. Companies don't really like that you're doing it (as they want the person to just buy it if possible) so many times they discourage it by making the process a really big hassle. :( Claris is still around, although they only really focus on filemaker now... It's much more of a gray area about how to handle things if the company is out of business and completely dead, but its still weird. Software licenses are weird things, I swear if people actually read all the fine print on some of the things you agree to (just by opening the package or the envelope) people would be wigged out. -- Michael Bryan Bell http://homepage.mac.com/michael_bell/ -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
