Doug, any reason you didn't leave the stock drive attached to your system bus, then connect the 40GB drive to the Sonnet card? Any chance you could get a third drive and test the card's speed with a 2-drive software RAID, keeping your 6GB as your boot disk and on the system bus? That news about seeing the card as ATA under 10.1 is interesting. Can anyone confirm that? I'm probably going to get a Sonnet ATA/100 to replace my VST Ultratek ATA/66, which is not and probably never will be OS X compatible. Thanks a lot VST/Smartdisk. Anyway, any feedback re. the Sonnet ATA/100 or other good ATA controllers, for use under both 9 and 10 on my G3/350 (ex-G4/400 with Metabox ZIF), would be much appreciated.
