I just had a new IBM Desk Star 60gb 7200rpm HD installed. I kept the
original 10gb drive to use as a 2nd or slave drive. I've transferred all
files from the 10gb drive to the larger drive and now have almost the same
files on both drives. My purpose for doing this was to be able to install
VirtualPC on the 10gb drive, my photo and editing programs such as Photoshop
Elements, the scanner program, and my girls' games. Do I need to completely
erase the 10gb hard drive and then start all over, just downloading or
installing those programs I want to use on it, or should I just delete those
programs I don't want and keep those that I do since they are already
installed. Also, my DVD player worked fine on the 10 gb drive, but on the
larger drive, I get a msg. that states "Disk not initialized" Can't read
disk, do you want to initialize disk? Whenever I try to play a disc that is
labeled Mac/win. Any pure Mac discs don't do that, only the Mac/win discs.
Would anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to fix it? Many
thanks, Ron in Austin
