Heh, I tried setting up a powermac 6500 last night... Took me 15 minutes to
crash it (reformatted hard drive, clean install, etc).

I don't think anyone signed on for mac OR pc bashing...

I love apple, and apple's products, and the operating system (within limits)
but I've never understood the people who use apple as something to DEFINE
themselves by. Ie, everyone wants to be part of an elite, or define
themselves by things... You see it when someone LOVES a band, but suddenly
calls them a sell-out when they get big...

Use apple products, evangelism them, love them... But within limits.
Otherwise you've become apple's bitch, and will buy anything they throw at
you.

I look at it this way... Macs let me get my work done better. They're the
best tool for what =I= do right now. If all someone wanted to do was do word
processing and net stuff, I'd tell them to get a mac. If all someone wanted
to do was play games, I'd tell them to get a PC. If at some point there was
a better tool out there for what I need to do, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

It is NOT good to be so defensive about your computing platform of choice
(not you personally, but everyone who is so freaked about a simple website),
it just makes the platform look weaker if anything.

To top it off, it's just not healthy. :)
