I am getting the green light to upgrade my equipment for the Art deparment
for a major label company. I have an old 650 with a power PC upgrade and a
9600. Looking forward to a new G4 desktop and maybe a t-book. I do all my
art on the Mac, of course, but I am the only one with a Mac in a company of
over several hundred employees and a dozen locations. I need to know the PC
better to survive. What I've seen of low end PC impresses me. I think the
reason there are too few lowend pc sites is because 99% of the people using
pc's are just using them for their job, just doing exactly what needs to be
done to get the job done, and no more. No creativity, no curiosity. Of
course, it is hard to be creative with a machine like the pc, but I would
like to give it a shot. All knowledge is complimentary...what I learn on the
pc will help me understand the mac.
Just my .02
Kathi
