Lol, that one probably didn't take =that= much time... And really, it is just cool. The first time I saw my powerbook pulsing or my older imac doing it, I just went "cool!". Cool to me is worth paying for (not to everyone)... I would call that a polished touch to the hardware... I'm cool with that. > And have you browsed Wal-Mart's stereo aisle lately? I have a fear of wal-mart (it seems to be the meeting place for the illinois chapter of "bring back the mullet" club) but I know what you're talking about. :) A lot of that going on is their target audience... It sucks, but they have to keep the component prices inline with the price point and silly features like that (and some of the horrid plastic casings they use now) are what they use to differentiate their product from the rest there... They all sound the same as I guess the price jumps in stereo equipment is pretty severe until you get past the $1500 mark... Ie $200, $400, $800, $1200, $1600, $1800... Not that I know much about it... But I knew enough to do a little research (thanks epinions.com!), then have an audiophile friend recommend a good system which would have great sound (you really dont' know what you're missing until you spend time with a great system) but stop when it has hit the point of diminishing returns... The coolest thing was this little gizmo which takes USB sound from the computer then sends it to the stereo which has SUCH great quality compared to just running a sound-out from the g3/g4... -- Michael Bryan Bell http://homepage.mac.com/michael_bell/ -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
