On a stereo I had a few decades ago, "rumble" cut low frequencies, and "scratch" cut high, which reduced the noise as labelled at the cost of fidelity, which is why it wouldn't be always on. -- Alan -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
