Thanks, John and Clae. I'll go to Radio Shack tomorrow and ask about that volume control. I know they'll let me return it if it doesn't work for me, because they already tried to build me a cable with a resistor or attenuator or something in the line to reduce the volume, and it didn't work, so I had to take it back. They're pretty good that way.
