Is it not starting up on all the computers or only one?

I know that with one flavor of OS 9 (can't remember which, at the moment) a
known problem was that the file sharing control panel would take FOREVER to
open up. The first time this happened to me I didn't know about the bug and
thought there was something wrong with my computer.

I don't know if this is the kind of problem you're describing, but it popped
to mind.
