Turn off AfterDark, it isn't compatible anymore and with the computers nowadays you don't need it anymore. IIRC there was a problem with the ~ATM control panel. For OS 9.1 you can use 4.6.1. 3.9 and any other version doesn't work anymore. Also if you have extra third-party s/w installed you have to update it for use with OS 9.1. f.e. Suitcase to version 8.2 and the MenuFonts data cp to 8.2.2. If you use both make sure ~ATM loads last so add a ~ so that it looks like ~~ATM. And there are other updates needed if you have more. Goto http://www.macfixit.com and search for the 9.1 compatability page. Or search for it @ Google.
