There won't be an Apple warranty with it, I can almost guarantee. The beiges just won't have one. On ebay I saw G3/266s, no memory, no hardrives for $160 - add 256 for $40 from 8004Memory (I think) and a hardrive ($70-120) and you've got a workable system.
My suggestion is Powermax because they take trade-ins. I always think I'm going to buy something from somewhere else one of these days and I end up doing business with them. I've had 4 G4s in the last three years so I know of what I speak.
