There is also an almost new monitor for $149.00. I don't know if that helps you or not, but it's worth a try to check with them and take a look at what they have to offer. For that matter, instead of leaving your old G-3 at home, why not just trade it in on a newer one? If it has already given you a problem, perhaps the arching may have caused more damage inside than you might be aware of and I don't think it's something you want to take a gamble on, not if you're going to have to depend on the machine for work or school. You might be surprised what you can get for the G-3 and existing monitor. There might be some good parts in it they can use. It's certainly worth a try! Good Luck.
