Thanks Paul. So I wasn't doing anything wrong after all--those music files
I was trying to get are not supposed to be download-able. Okay, that makes
sense.

BTW I just downloaded LimeWire, to see what it was. It's an interesting
looking thing, whatever it is. I'm curious: what does it do, and why do you
hesitate to sanction it? Are you saying that it's a program that could pull
in those .ram files that I was trying to download, even though the owners
of the websites probably wouldn't want me to do it, or what?

Anyway I do appreciate your help; thanks again.
