Thanks for the info and advice. I use O.E. and just installed the new 5.04 "patch" and have always used O.E. I don't know anything about Eudora. Can't O.E. do the same thing? I looked at the filters and rules which are a little hard to understand, but I will learn them. I downloaded a bunch of Applescripts that are supposed to really help to delete pop-ups and add a number of additional filters to O.E. There is also this new "Spam Catcher" freeware program I heard about on the Kim Kommando radio program and she said it works very well, catches about 90% or so. I've got to learn how to use them and run them, but I am serious about trying to protect my computer from this type of stuff especially with having 2 pre teen daughters using this and accidentally opening some type of smut or porn. I have no idea what might get sent to me, but I don't want them exposed to that type of trash and now is as good a time as any to start learning how to prevent it and make their and my experience on this new Mac G-4 as wonderful as it should be. I do appreciate all of the advice and support everyone has given to me, and I will try not to over react to something like that article, as obnoxious and disgusting as it was. I've honestly never seen or read anything like that before and I guess it really bothered me to be associated with groups as they were describing. Like I said, I'm very proud to be a mac owner and user and I've saved a long time to get this computer and I've been touting it to all of my friends. It's the nicest piece of equipment I've ever owned and to say the things they were saying and then sending out those messages which might possibly mess it up, I just felt compelled to say something and issue a warning to anyone else who might have been getting them. Again, to all, I thank you and I sincerely appreciate the notes you sent to me in support and offering advice. This truly is a wonderful group of people and my experience in the past couple of days has only affirmed that.
