no I just put a g4/500 jumped to 533 on my g3 desktop but i used interex 's mach speed control instead (put the g3/300 in my old powertower pro 225 for new life with the xlr8 zif carrier card and got the software with it. OSX abd 9.2 flawless-be sure to upgrade ram to as much as you can (?768mb-max) and the on board vram to 6 mb ($15 for 4mb upgrade). this baby flies....
